The series of attacks on Chatham Memorial Synagogue in Kent in the run up to Rosh Hashanah, has left the whole community shocked. The Synagogue has been marred by anti-social behaviour over the past two years with recent attacks seeing the front door covered in excrement and the desecration of its cemetery.
Liberal Democrats are concerned about Medway Council's planned £205,000 spend, bidding for UK City of Culture 2025. The Council passed a motion in September to invest £205,000 over two years to funding a Bid Team with the money coming from council reserves, with an £150,000 of external investment to back the bid.
