The Liberal Democrats announce today that they would allow Medway Council to increase council tax by up to 500% on empty homes that are left empty long-term. The latest Government statistics show that there were 1,144 homes left empty long-term in Medway in 2018.
Only 83.6% of patients arriving at A&E in Medway were treated or admitted within four hours in October 2019, according to damning figures published by NHS England.

Liberal Democrats are concerned about Medway Council's planned £205,000 spend, bidding for UK City of Culture 2025. The Council passed a motion in September to invest £205,000 over two years to funding a Bid Team with the money coming from council reserves, with an £150,000 of external investment to back the bid.
