Cliffe & Cliffe Wood Neighbourhood Plan

Medway Liberal Democrats congratulate Cliffe & Cliffe Woods Parish Council on the hard work and dedication needed to get their Neighbourhood Plan through the process to referendum.

The referendum is on 4th May, the same day as the local elections. We recommend you vote Lib Dems for the Strood Rural and FEPC elections and vote to make your voice heard on the Neighbourhood Plan.

Andrew Millsom

Andrew is a Structural Engineer and lives in Upnor. Andrew knows the area well, and brings his knowledge of planning matters on many issues that affect the area. He is a seasoned campaigner for Medway Liberal Democrats and has stood in a number of elections, during the last 20 years, most recently winning a seat on Frindsbury Extra Parish Council as Councillor in the 2019 local elections.

Andrew was instrumental in the installation of defibrillators around our area. He proposed the use of the Frindsbury Extra Parish Council Special Project fund to be spent on defibrillators, after local residents tried to raise funds for one. The three defibrillators are located at, the King’s Arms in Upper Upnor, Upnor Sailing Club in Lower Upnor, & at the Sans Pareil, Wainscott.

Andrew is one of the Trustees for 'Friends of Broomhill' a charity to maintain, protect and enhance Broomhill Park and The Old Orchard in Strood. Andrew's interests include looking after the environment, history, and walking 'Winston' (his dog). Andrew is well known in the area and enjoys a pint, supporting the local micro pubs in the area.

Alan Wells

Alan grew up in Medway, originally from the Hoo Peninsula and attending the Hundred of Hoo School. He joined the Lib Dems to change things for the better at a local level, and has been a campaigner for 4 years on a range of local issues, he has been press officer for the local party since 2018.

Alan works as a Support Worker, supporting vulnerable adults in Strood. Interests include, keeping active and doing his bit for the environment by riding a bike around town, saving the planet, current affairs.

He’s a life long James Bond fan and decided to become a member of the British Film Institute and lives in Chatham with a cat. Alan enjoys meeting people and good conversation, over a pint.
