Last year when the Medway Liberal Democrat team were at Medway Pride, LGBT+ people, friends, family and allies signed our petition calling for the practice to be banned. Recently Peel L&P announced the results of a survey of 101 people showing 77 people supported their proposals. Medway Liberal Democratic ran a survey, 212 people responded and 203 voted for keeping the Docks. These two surveys demonstrate that the issue does not have the clear cut support Peel L&P is claiming.

May is 'National Stroke Awareness Month', an observance that highlights the importance of knowing the signs and symptoms of a stroke. Time is of the essence in terms of suffering a stroke, and Medway Liberal Democrats want stroke services that best serves the health needs of Medway residents. We have been consistent for calling for local stroke services, to be retained at Medway Maritime Hospital.
