Where do you stand Mr Chisti?

First the government broke its manifesto commitment to stay in the Single Market, now they have broken their manifesto commitment to not raise tax. The Conservative government's plans to raise taxes on the self-employed will hit around 5100 people in Gillingham & Rainham who are already being hit with a Brexit squeeze on living standards. This is a tax on hard work, while companies will continue to save money by using workers without giving them the security and benefits of staff jobs.

Rehman Chisti must make clear whether he knew this change was coming and whether he will now vote against it. With the plan to leave the Single Market, the shambles over business rates and now tax hikes for entrepreneurs, it's clear the Conservatives have lost any right to call themselves the party of business
The Liberal Democrats will fight to protect people's living standards from being hit by this Conservative Brexit government and for a country that is open, tolerant and united.
