Medway Lib Dems calls on Medway Labour MPs to do more for small businesses all year round

Medway Lib Dems champions small businesses all year round. They are not only good for the local economy, it's a fantastic way to get involved with the community and protect local jobs. Onyx Rist, Medway Lib Dems local champion says,

“Local businesses like the shops on Gillingham High Street or the shops on Canterbury St are like family. They grow the local economy and are resident-friendly.

This is why it is so important that the government rethinks and scraps their National Insurance hike on our local small businesses.

After years of Conservative economic vandalism, businesses here in Gillingham have been hammered with increased costs and less support. And I am disappointed at Labour’s recent budget hikes. We must have an honest re-think and I urge my local MP to challenge her party to give more support which Medway deserves."
