Liberal Democrats launch their Community Engagement Plan for Medway

Alan Wells, spokesperson for the Medway Liberal Democrats said, "Our second policy has at its core the importance of community engagement. Liberal Democrats believe power should be devolved to people as far as it can be practical. We are committed to engaging with communities and this policy provides the direction to ensure quality and consistent engagement across the work we do.

It sets out why engaging with the community is important and the principles that ensure that residents have a voice to influence policies and strategies that will affect their lives."

Medway is a great place to live and work, and we want residents and businesses to be central in that journey, actively working together to shape better and more efficient services.

We want to make the most of engagement, learning from what works and where possible increase the capacity in communities to actively get involved. As we approach the local 2023 elections, Medway is in desperate need of fresh new ideas and Medway Liberal Democrats want to make real change happen to our community.
