Graham Colley will contest Rochester and Strood for the Liberal Democrats
Medway Liberal Democrats are pleased to announce that Graham Colley will be the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Rochester and Strood at the next General Election.
A Party member since university, Graham knows the Constituency well and lives in Rochester, having campaigned in many Kent elections. Graham has been a Parliamentary candidate previously for Mid-Kent (twice) and a former Kent County Councillor for Medway South and co-chair of the Kent Fire & Public Protection committee.
Vivienne Parker, Chair of Medway Liberal Democrats said: "We are pleased to announce Graham as a candidate. He is a natural, enthusiastic campaigner on a wide range of issues from Human Rights and Civil liberties to Education, Health and the Environment."
Graham Colley said "I feel privileged to have been asked to represent the Liberal Democrats. We fought and did spectacularly well in the European elections, building on the great local government successes the month before.
Brexit has not only ripped our country apart, but has exposed a social crisis and democratic deficit. Time devoted to Brexit should be spent on problems that politics have ignored for years. I will dedicate myself to exposing and working to overcoming these problems. I am determined to work hard to protect Rochester and Strood from the effects of Boris Johnson's chaotic Conservative Government."
