Alan Bullion will contest Gillingham and Rainham for the Liberal Democrats

Medway Liberal Democrats are pleased to announce that Alan Bullion will be the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for Gillingham and Rainham at the next Election.

A former European Candidate, he has campaigned in many Kent elections. Alan has been a Parliamentary Candidate previously for Sevenoaks and is on the South East Executive Committee.

Vivienne Parker, Chair of Medway Liberal Democrats said: "We are pleased to announce Alan as a candidate, he has shown years of service to the Party in Kent and brings a wealth of experience as a PPC. Alan is a natural, enthusiastic campaigner on a wide range of issues from Transport, Social Care to Europe . "

Alan Bullion said "I feel privileged to represent the Liberal Democrats for Gillingham and Rainham. We fought and did spectacularly well in the European elections, building on the great local government successes the month before. Kent is Britain's gateway to Europe and thousands of jobs depend on strong links.

Many vital workers - especially in the care and food sectors - come from Europe. Some are already leaving due to uncertainty and intolerance. We want the position of everyone who contributes to our community, and their families, to be guaranteed now so they can live their lives and plan the future. And you must have a say on the eventual deal we get with Europe, a democratic check on the small band of government ministers pushing for Brexit at any cost."
