Save Ticket Offices for Disabled People
The government-mandated closure of ticket offices at Medway's train stations will have a huge impact on everyone. However, it will have the most dramatic impact on those who are disabled. Disabled people already have tremendous difficulty using public transport, whether its someone in a wheelchair to find a station that has step-free access to a visually impaired person trying to navigate busy stations. Yet the closure of ticket offices will cut a vital safety-net they rely on. Talking to a person allows disabled people to quickly find someone to help them, ensure they have the right ticket, and that there's help for them at their destination. Without a ticket office, this government is stopping many people to have the freedom to travel where ever they want. If you want to protect the ticket offices of Medway for yourself and Medway, then please sign the petition below.
