At this year's annual Liberal Democrat Conference in Bournemouth, Sharon was part of the Foreign Policy's fringe event speaking on the credit crunch and Europe.
Sharon argued that the credit crunch demonstrates how financial pollution transcends national borders and thus responses need to be adopted collectively at the European level.
